Hi everyone. I attempted a video post today but I don’t think the microphone on my tablet works well enough for the audio to come through. Either way maybe tomorrow I will do a quick 30 second hello to everyone and show off my mean tan/burn. If anyone wants me to write about anything here let me know via the comments or an email.

Biggest sailboat I've ever seen
Today was pretty boring actually. I went to the beach and found my reading log. I just sat around and read my books all afternoon. The Knack by Norm Brodsky and Bo Burlingham is quickly becoming one of my favorite entrepreneur books. Right now it is neck and neck with the 4 Hour Work Week. It’s not so much a how-to manual about running a business but it has many small case-studies (a couples pages max) about mistakes small businesses may make and how they can be easily remedied or even prevented. Even though officially I am a company of one, I do manage a few other people and I have learned a tremendous amount from this book that applies to everything from accounting to the hiring process (which I haven’t done officially). It’s neat to know what the numbers of your company can actually mean.
So I stayed on the beach until about 3:30 reading my books, magazines, and comic book. I noticed that at high-tide everyone goes snorkeling near the rocks I had been climbing on in the previous days. I am not too sure if they could actually see anything because my reading log isn’t too close but tomorrow I am bringing the goggles and waiting until the tide gets its highest. I want to do some snorkel-orkeling dang it! Maybe I can check out the flooded cave if the water is high enough too. Here I have been trying to get there at low tide and all I needed to do was stay on the beach a few more hours.

My Reading Log
Also I should note I am using a back-up/syncing utility that deserves a mention. It’s called Syncplicity. Basically it created an online back-up of any files that you are syncing across machines (there is a back-up only option as well). For example I have 5 machines total for CWS. I have 2 of them here. When I make a change on one I would like it to be reflected on all of them instead of hooking up a crossover cable and doing it manually. Now with Syncplicity I specify the folders I want to sync and then everything happens in real time. I upload my new photos on my tablet and a hour later they are already on my backup laptop. No need to run SyncToy anymore and schedule syncing. They have a free version that you can use to sync 2GB free but the paid version I chose was $99/year for 50GB on unlimited machines (that was the real selling point).
This was an easy choice when it came to picking an online backup vendor. Most of the competition charges you per machine and this happened to have syncing built in which just removed a time consuming step in my usual routine. Now when I get back to my office, if I have left my machine on all my updated files will be waiting for me or they will begin syncing once I turn it on. Being a successful entrepreneur is all about successful time management. I am not saying I am the best or most disciplined with this but Syncplicity will ultimately save me time that I can now spend on more pressing matters…LIKE FINDING A MONKEY IN THIS COUNTRY!!!

Rumors are there is a good spot around there for diving too
Did you flood the cave and tell?
You should be on the lookout for bats in the caves down there.
