Gonna keep this post short. It’s late here and I need to get bed before 2 one of these days. I got caught fixing some Javascript stuff and the next thing I noticed it was 1:15am. So I threw in a little time lapse video I posted on Viddler for you all to see above. That last bit is me going after the dead eel I found on the beach.

Mr Lizard
I didn’t get to the beach until about 1 because of some work that needed to be caught up on. On my way down I finally saw a big iguana that didn’t run away. I took a few shots of it and then decided I would take it with me to the beach. Little guys are surprisingly fast and I had no chance catching him.
I made it to the beach and got into my usual routine of reading. I was playing around with my camera and noticed something…timelapse video. I thought why not and set it on a nearby rock. Obviously nothing too interesting was going on but hopefully I can set that up for an incoming storm and get some cool clouds rolling in.
While on the beach I made a new friend after he discovered the dead eel near me while running. Alberto Mendez. He was a Costa Rican that wanted to practice his English. I said sure and he can help with my Spanish. We talked about the new drinking and driving laws and how our economy is affecting them down there.
So I waited for the tide to come almost all the way in and I walked out to the rocks on the south side. From there I was a bit afraid to jump in the clear water with waves coming in against the rocks all around. But you only live once. After about 5 minutes of talking myself up I slid and swam around the shallow water for a few minutes. Lots of nice fish swimming around but I think I was too frightened to enjoy it. Maybe next time.
On the way back I saw that same iguana chasing another one. It scared me to death at first because they jumped out of tree next to me. No joke. The little one I think ran down but the big guy just jumped. There are a ton of lizards and they are all super fast but to see a big one was definitely cool.
The rest of the day consisted of going to the market, a 15 minute bike ride, to pick up some food and drinks. Upon returning I did some work, caught the latest episode of Lost, and starting jumping into the Rails framework a bit more. I won’t geek out too much on here but it is something important for not only my personal development but the development of my company. I hope everyone is doing well.
